Meet The Team At Haynes Consulting Group

Matthew Haynes

In 1999, Matthew D. Haynes served as the Director of Planned Giving and the Annual Appeal for the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City ~ St. Joseph, Missouri. A major project included the conversion of the development department from the DOS platform of The Raisers Edge©, to The Raisers Edge Version 7. This experience led Matthew in 2002 to become an independent consultant based out of Kansas City, Missouri and serving organizations in the midwest.

From 2002 to 2007, Matthew worked with more than 45 organizations as a lead consultant for Harvel Consulting. Matthew specialized in annual fundraising, database management, database enhancement overlays, fundraising management strategies, and moves management strategies. Matthew primarily focused on simplifying processes used in The Raisers Edge fundraising software while maximizing opportunities available within the software.

In 2007, Haynes Consulting Group, LLC was formed and our mission is to be the leader in affordable Raiser’s Edge solutions.

Kerry Peak 

With over 25 years experience in the non-profit arena, Kerry Peak takes time to view projects through many different lens to find just the right path of partnering technology and agency needs. “It’s a privilege to be invited into a clients work environment and I want to always be mindful to not only bring experience but to listen. I listen a lot! I think it’s really the key to the Haynes Consulting Group’s success.” Kerry loves the variety of working with many clients soaking up their unique missions. She describes how we all learn from each other and sharing strategies as well as best practices has been essential to the success agencies find after the core projects are completed.

 

Before joining the Haynes Consulting team in 2014, Kerry worked as Manager, Donor and Information Services at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art for seven years leading a large team involved with data processing, reporting and membership activities. She also worked in roles from Entry Specialist, Fund Development Supervisor, Director of Development at a variety of different sized agencies such as Truman Medical Centers (now University Health), The Salvation Army and American Red Cross in Denver. All of these opportunities have helped shape how she helps her clients achieve their best results.

Kerry lives in the Lenexa, KS with her husband David and their two sons, Ethan and Gavin. Her two dogs, Fritz and Oliver are occasional virtual meeting participants. Consulting has brought many opportunities, one of which is the highly sought after family life work balance for the Peak family. 

Sheena Mikessell

Sheena provides Raiser’s Edge consulting and database administration services to Haynes Consulting Group clients. She is happiest when helping organizations make the best use of their software solutions to make their work more resourceful and practical.



Sheena has over two decades of significant fundraising and data management skills. She has extensive experience working within diverse organizations, from Animal Welfare to Diocesan fundraising. Over the years, her fundraising and database skills have benefitted many organizations across the Kansas City Metropolitan.


After growing up in Shawnee, Kansas, Sheena attended the University of Kansas City, Missouri. She earned two degrees from the University of Kansas City, Missouri: a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration.


Sheena and her husband live in Kansas City with their son. Sheena enjoys her son’s weekend soccer tournaments, running and paddleboarding, reading mystery novels, and spending time in the great outdoors.
